Motimate now supports SCORM courses, allowing you to upload and integrate SCORM content seamlessly within your MotiSpace. Follow this step-by-step guide to upload, manage, and publish SCORM courses using the new feature ✨
What is SCORM?
SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a widely used e-learning standard that enables interoperability between learning management systems and digital courses. Motimate supports SCORM 2004 3rd Edition and SCORM 1.2.

Please note:
While standard SCORM courses are standalone packages which runs locally in the Motimate platform, whose progress and completion is tracked in Motimate, there are also some SCORM courses that connect to external, 3rd party providers. These types of SCORM courses send user data and progress to third-party providers to track user progress externally.
Remote SCORM courses are not currently supported in Motimate, as they carry with them more security and privacy concerns.

Can a SCORM Moti have translations?
A SCORM Moti can indeed work with translations. All you need to do is to first make sure the SCORM course for the new language has already been uploaded (with the Generate Moti option disabled), and then:
- Set the Moti up in any language first, like described above (but you do not need to publish it first).
- Go to the Moti's Settings and find the Language settings, then click Add language and follow the guide.
- Once the language has been added, go to the Editor and select the new language from the drop-down.
- Click Edit chapter in the new language and go to the settings for the SCORM block, and select the SCORM course corresponding to the new language from the drop-down menu.
- Click Save and then approve and publish when you are ready. Note that all translations must be approved before the Moti can be published.
You can find a full guide for Moti Translations here.
What will SCORM Motis look for your users?
-
When a user starts the SCORM Moti, they will see a SCORM content block with an "Open" button.
-
If the SCORM course was started but not completed, users can click Continue.
-
Once completed, the button changes to Open Again.
-
-
Once the SCORM course is opened, it will open in full-screen mode. On mobile devices, the screen will automatically switch to landscape mode.
-
Users can revisit the course even after completion.
Reporting & Insights
