How is progress measured in the first place?
How does the Leaderboard work?
Does the group levels matter?
You can exclude playlists from the calculation of the Total score, and the Leaderboard in your MotiSpace Settings (read more about this here), and you can also exclude groups from the Leaderboard.
Why does one of my groups show an error message instead of the Leaderboard?
This happens when the group has child groups, but all the child groups are set to be 'excluded from the Leaderboard'. In order to avoid this, please ensure that your group and its child-groups are all available to the Leaderboard function. At least one Moti must also be published in your MotiSpace for the Leaderboard to start working.
As an Admin, I want more details than the Leaderboard is providing. Where should I go instead?
The Leaderboard is primarily intended for end-users, and not for admins. For this reason, the Leaderboard will only show you groups you yourself are a member of - regardless of your user role. Therefore, if you are an admin who requires information for reporting purposes, you have access to far better details within Insights:
-
The Group Admin Report (GAR):
The Group Admin Report will give you all completion data for your customers in much more detail.
-
Reports:
You can download all the completion data for the users in your MotiSpace using the Generate Reports feature, with plenty of filters to help you narrow down the search results.
-
The Insights Overview Dashboard:
The brand new Overview Dashboard within Insights will now give you a full overview of the activity in your MotiSpace at a glance. This is a great place to come to get an understanding of what's going on, and how your users are performing overall.
Can users reserve themselves against appearing on any Leaderboards?
Yes. This is an add-on feature which first must be enabled for your account. Once enabled, users will have the below setting in their User Settings page:
Please note:
You can choose whether or not you want to include custom groups in your Leaderboard, and whether or not you want to display individual users and their scores at the lowest group of any part of your group tree. Both these settings are controlled by us, so please reach out to Support if you wish to amend these.
