Motimate supports a wide range of different media files which you can upload to your content, or to your Pulse posts. Below you can find an overview over the types of files supported, and the sizes and dimensions of these π
Note that while this article describes the media types and formats supported natively by the Motimate platform, you also have the option to easily add content from external sources if that's more suitable (more on this here).
Images πΈ
You can upload the following image file types to Motimate:
- BMP
- GIF
- JPEG
- PNG
- WEBP
- JFIF
Images can be up to 40 MB, and with any resolution.
Videos π₯
You have two options when uploading videos to Motimate. We now have support for Full HD, as well as the standard HD option:

HD β 720p:
The standard video quality setting. It loads faster and has fewer requirements to the user's device.

Full HD β 1080p:
The high quality video setting. It requires more internet capacity when loading and has slightly higher requirements to the user's device (compatible with most modern devices sold since 2018).
Maximum file size for all video types is 200 MB, and we currently support the following video formats:- .mov
- mp4
- .m4v
- .avi
- .webm

The recommended video ratio is 16:9 or 9:16.
You can upload audio files to the Podcast content block.
Audio files πΆ
We currently support .m4a and .mp3 audio formats, and the maximum file size is 200 MB.
