Flip cards, or flashcards 📚, are a cool learning tool. The key is to adapt flip cards to your specific learning needs. It's all about active recall, immediate feedback, and repetition, making learning fun and effective!
How to create Flip cards:
- Start by clicking Edit chapter in the chapter you want to create Flip cards in.
- In the content menu select Flip cards.
- First you should choose your desired title of the Flip card stack.
- Next you can upload a visual element such as image, GIF or Unsplash image. You can add visual elements on both sides of the card.
- Once you add a visual element, you are able to choose how it is portrayed on the card. If you want to change the element, just click on the image and you can upload a new one, edit the card or delete it. There are two options for displays demonstrated under.
If the Allow option image to fill the whole card is off, you should use an image that is in landscape orientation mode. They will be embedded into card content. 📸
For high pixel density displays like retina you should have 640x960 px or even 960px x 1440px. - If you want the element to fill the whole card, you can toggle on Allow the image to fill the whole card is turned. In this case, the cover image should have width/height ratio 2:3, minimum values 320x480px. You can also choose to dim the background image, which increases the contrast between text and image.
- Next you can add Text. You can align and customize the text however you like.
- Choose if you want to lock the order of cards and require the users to see both sides of cards to complete chapter.
- If you want to add more cards to your Flip card collection, just press the +. You can add up to 8 cards in each collection.
- Remember to save changes and you're all set!
How to navigate Flip cards:
You easily turn the cards by clicking Flip cards. To go forward, drag them to the right. To go back, drag them to the left. It's like flipping through pages or swiping left and right on your phone. Easy enough, no magic tricks involved! 📲👈👉 Desktop users can also press f on the keyboard to turn the cards, and use the arrows to go to the next card.
