Include a Quiz in your Moti, both to test knowledge and to engage your users. You can make a quiz using both text and images, and you choose the percentage required to pass ๐โ๏ธ
Adding a Quiz
- Start by clicking Edit Chapter in the chapter you want to add the Quiz in.
- In the content block menu, select Quiz.
- You will now see a new content block, where you can configure your Quiz:
- You can then give a Title to your new Quiz.
- If you select Give the user customer feedback after completing the quiz, you can configure two different messages: One message for users who pass the quiz, and another message for users who fail.
- If you select Randomize order of questions, the questions will appear in a random order every time the user takes the quiz. If you have several questions, it is very unlikely that questions will appear in the same order as last time.
- After you have added all your questions, you can change how many of your questions will be presented to a user every time a Quiz is taken under Select number of questions. In combination with Randomize order of questions, if you have created 20 questions, you can ensure that for instance only 5 random questions out of the 20 are presented to the user.
- Configure how many percent of your questions must be answered correctly in order for a users to pass your Quiz under Set pass percentage.
- Choose whether you would like to hide indication of correct or wrong answer for questions. If this is turned on, users will not see any feedback.
- Click the '+' icon in order to create your first question. From the drop down meny appearing, you can choose between three question types:
- When you are happy with all the questions and alternatives you've added to your quiz, remember to click Save to avoid losing this, and other changes you've made, in the chapter.
Congratulations! You have now created a nice Quiz block.
The Question Types
Multi-select

- Here the users are presented with a question and several answer alternatives to choose from. You will see a form with these options for your question:
- Type your question in the Question box. Remember to finish it with a question mark :)
- You can click the Image icon next to the question if you wish to add an illustrating image.
- Select whether or not you want the answers the user can select from to be Text answers or Image answers.
- Type your answer alternative or upload your image alternative for each alternative in Answer alternative.
- Then click Add a new alternative as many times as you like.
- When you've added all your alternatives, select Correct next to the alternative(s) that are correct. If multiple alternatives are correct, the user must select all the correct alternatives in order to pass the question. Note that users will not see if they are required to select multiple correct answers, unless you tell them so.
- If you select Custom feedback per alternative, you can provide a custom feedback to the user if the user selected that alternative. Customer feedback can be provided both for correct and incorrect alternatives.
- If you select Custom feedback for question, you can provide a custom feedback to the user if the questions is answered correct or incorrect. You will not be able to tailor it according to which alternative the users selected.
- If you want to add more questions to the quiz, click the '+' icon again and choose type from the appearing drop down menu.
- Here the users are presented with a question and several answer alternatives to choose from. You will see a form with these options for your question:
Sort order

- If you choose this question type, the users can drag'n'drop the set of alternatives presented them into the right order. Examples for using this type of quiz, could be to teach users the correct steps in order to clean a machine. You will see a form with these options for your question:
- Type your question in the Question box. Remember to finish it with a question mark :)
- Then click Add a new alternative as many times as you like. Remember that the order you place your alternatives in, must be the correct one.
- You can add Images to illustrate both the question and the alternatives.
- You can also add Custom feedback for the question.
- If you want to add more questions to the quiz, click the '+' icon again and choose type from the appearing drop down menu.

Matching

- Type your question in the Question box. Remember to finish it with a question mark :)
- Add your terms and definitions.
- You can add images to illustrate both the question and the terms and/or definitions.
- You can also add Custom feedback for the question.
- If you choose Matching, the users can drag'n'drop alternatives to match. Examples for using this type of quiz, could be to match terms and definitions, or images with text. You will see a form with these options for your question:
Fill in the blanks

- With this question type, you can write sentences with blank fields where words are missing and ask users to fill in the correct word or select the correct word from a dropdown menu. This is ideal, for example, when you want users to recall details while also placing them in context. You will see the following form, which you can use to configure your question:
- Write the question in the Question field (remember the question mark).
- Then, enter a text and click either Add answer text or Add dropdown menu with answers to create blank fields for the user to fill in.
- Next, input the correct answer text or add answer options to a dropdown menu, marking one of them as correct.
- Optional: Add images and custom feedback.

Hotspot

- With the Hotspot question type, you can upload an image and mark areas within the image that users need to click on to answer the question. For example, this could involve identifying the correct component in a car engine. You will see the following form, which you can use to configure your question:
- Write what you want users to find in the image, and use either a circle or rectangle marker to highlight the corresponding area(s) in the image. Indicate for each marked area whether it is correct or incorrect.
- Choose whether the marked areas should be visible or invisible.
- Optional: Add images and custom feedback.
- With the Hotspot question type, you can upload an image and mark areas within the image that users need to click on to answer the question.
